  1. As much as possible use a white and clean table cloth. If you have created a different theme, you can also use neutral colors for the table cloth.
  2. The wine glass must show the color of the wine. It is advised to use a clear wine glass.
  3. Remember to use plates that are not over decorated. Try to use simple ones and those that do not have complicated designs because the foods will be the one to give nice appearance on the plate.
  4. When putting flowers on the table, remember to arrange them in a manner that it would not distract your conversation with your date. It should not be place where it can create disturbance. Try to put just a few of them on the table. If you want you can put the favorite flowers of your date.
  5. Candlelit dinner always gives the romantic impression. So, it would just be okay to put some candles. It can add to the intimacy of the dinner. What you have to remember is to use the right size and style of the candle for the romantic dinner date. It should not be too big.
  6. As far as romantic table setting is involve, part of this is the proper positioning of the silverware. Remember to start from the outside and then inside. The knife and spoon should be place on the right of the plate with the knife turned inwards. The fork should be place on the left. The plate is on the center. Above it are the dessert knife and the fork. Spoon can be brought to the table with the dessert or if not you can placed it above the fork with the handle to the right.
  7. The glasses should be arranged in order. So, it will be from tallest to smallest. It should be in a decreasing order like this: water glass, wine glass and then the dessert wine. The wine and the glass wine can be brought to the table together.
  8. If you are going to serve bread, you can put it on another plate and then it should be placed to the left of the fork.

  10. And lastly, after each course is done, you can start to remove the plates from the left and new plates are offered from the right.
