The first thing to do is place a white linen table cloth on the table. Make sure that the table cloth fits the table. Do not use those which are too big in size and that it almost lays on the floor or those which are too small either. You have to make sure that you get the proper measurement for this. The first that would be notice is the table cloth. I ma sure if you failed to do it properly, it is quite annoying for you and your partner. Aside from color white, you can also use other colors such as red or add something like green. These colors symbolize the Christmas season and also the love and passion you have for each other as partners.
To make a romantic dinner table, the next thing to do is to set up the candles in the middle of the table. There would be no other romantic way to eat dinner when the lights are out and candles are the only things that lights you. Candles create mood for you and your partner. There are options on which candle you will want to use for the romantic dinner. You can have taper candles. It presents a long and sensual mood for the both of you. Silver and gold represents the Christmas season while the color white candles are symbol of love and purity. You can use at least 1-3 candles if they are not that long or big. If you wish to use a bigger and longer one, use one candle only and place it on the center of the table. If you want 2-3 candles, do not choose those which are longer and bigger. It would become a distraction for you and your partner already.
Next, try a little creativity for your silverware. You can wrap your silverware with colored cloth napkins. It will give emphasize on what is set on the table. A romantic dinner table should not be boring but not too gorgeous. Just put some decorations but do not over do it.
